Resources

Throughout my running journey, I've found many resources that have helped me become faster, stay motivated, and learn much about several aspects of running. Here are the ones I have found most useful.

What Makes Olga Run, by Bruce Grierson

A inspirationaly look at Olga Kotelko, who decided at 77 to pursue track and field, winning more than 25 world records. Researchers looked closely at the range of factors that could have helped her reach these feats well into her 80's and 90's, but you might be surprised at what they found.

Running Like a Girl, by Alexandra Heminsley

A humorous account of one young woman's decision to overcome her belief that she "was not a runner" by signing up for the London marathon. Her book is full of helpful advice for new runners.

Mom Runs aims to help grow a community of women runners, especially--but not exclusively--moms, where we can share and learn from each other. If you have ideas or would like to see a particularly kind of content, please let us know. We will not sell or share your information with anyone.
